Steadfast Heart by Tracie Peterson Book Review

About

Despite her spoiled upbringing, twenty-year-old Lenore Fulcher isn't pretentious. She simply believes a marriage should be built on true love. Her father, however, thinks she's wasted enough time searching for the perfect husband. He wants to marry her off to one of his business partners--who is seventeen years her senior--an idea that is out of the question for Lenore.

Kolbein Booth, a young lawyer from Chicago, arrives in Seattle looking for his headstrong sister, who he believes may have answered an advertisement for mail-order brides. Sick with worry, he storms into the Madison Bridal School, demanding to see his sister, only to learn she isn't there. But Lenore Fulcher is, and something about her captures his attention.

Is this the man Lenore has been searching for? She may not have long to find out...

My review;

This is Book One in Tracie Peterson's series called "Brides of Seattle". This series is off to a great start. Lenore Fulcher wants a marriage that is full of love and caring. Her father is done with her and wants her to marry someone who is a lot older than her. She has decided that she is not going to argue  him and she has no intention of even listening to his ideas. She is not going to let him run her life. One day Kolbein Booth shows up looking for his sister who has run off to be a mail-order bride. He instead meets Lenore and he is captivated by her immediately. She also notices him. Will anything happen between them? Will there ever be a future for them? I give this book a 4/5. I was given this book by Bethany House and all opinions are my own.
